Huge amount of money is being spent by the government in setting up drug rehab centers in New York. The attempt made is significant and so genuine that it’s surely commendable. If the government does not get involved, then nothing can be done to save a nation from impending disaster. Building of roads, new bridges, and setting up new factories and similar other attempts are some of the most constructive work done by the government. However, spending money for a drug rehab center exceeds all. A society can only progress when everything changes for the better and here along with the government you too have a role to play.
A government can spend a lot of money in setting up a drug rehab center in New York, but the expenditure only becomes worth, when a lot of people enjoy the benefits of this attempt made by the government. The addicts coming to these centers should get proper treatment, otherwise what’s the use of setting up a rehab center? Medical practitioners here have to work for a social cause. They are not just paid doctors – they are social healers. They not only treat a drug addict, they also help him recover in life. A proper come back of an addicted individual should be a doctor’s concern.
Huge amount of money spent by the government in establishing drug rehab centers in New York should equal to “n” number of lives being saved. World class apparatus and facilities can cure, but along with these we need essentials such as love, understanding and voluntary participation. These things will definitely help a drug addicted individual bounce back to normal. When the government is spending money, you should spend at least some time with the drug addicts in rehab centers. Talk to them, help them and within no time you will realize, every individual can make a difference.

Government is playing a dominant role in establishing several New York drug rehab centers. Yes, the government needs to be serious about this. Drug addiction is an acute social problem and it will lead towards nothing, if the government is not with you. Legal and administrative supports are always essential in eradicating social evils like drug addiction. Moreover, a government involvement creates an overall social awareness. When the government imposes law on social abuses like addiction to drugs and alcohol, you as an individual will feel the necessity of being a part of this imposition.
The first thing that the government needs to do is levy strict restrictions regarding selling and distribution of several drug components in New York City. Drug varieties such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and amphetamines cannot be legally sold. If you are caught selling any one of these drugs, you will by default have to face severe consequences. It is true, that in spite of such governmental attempts, there are people who indulge in this trade, and very smartly they carry it as an under cover operation. It is a fact that nothing can stop drug illegal trades, but at least it can be curtailed to some extent.
The government is constantly attempting to eradicate this problem and apart from setting rules and regulations, they been successful in establishing a number of New York drug rehab centers. However, there are private New York drug rehab centers as well. Even if it’s a private one, the government still has a role to play. Most private rehab centers receive governmental aids, as they aren’t financially strong enough to run completely on their own. Not only the government, but you as a responsible citizen have a significant role to play. Just stay informed and bring an affected individual to one of these rehab centers. Try to fulfill your responsibility as a social being and fight against drug abuse with all your might.
